Kaulee Vue - KAP (Kay's Anime Paradise)

KAP (Kay's Anime Paradise) is a anime brand identity that I created so that I could express my love and passion for anime.

1. Objective

My objective for this project was to design an identity that I haven't really advertised yet. Anime is one of many things that are in my life that I love and enjoy watching. While I'm at it, why not make some use of it right? Anyway, this identity brought out my "kid side" and I really enjoyed it. Making an anime brand identity was something I wanted to do for a while now. This was a good way to show it and express my thoughts about anime.

2. Research

Well, when I thought of this project from the beginning, I didn't think that I would end up with these three designs for my boxes but I'm proud of how it turned out. I was researching on how anime sites looked like and they all mostly had white for the pages and some had other designs. I went a little easy with my site so I incorporated my colors from my logo to my site, which is blue, yellow and white. I chose these colors because when I thought of paradise, I thought of blue skies and the sun.

3. Concept and Solution

well, I want people to see how someone's love and passion for anime can be seen around the world. Not just throught art but also through designing your own brand identity. When I first designed my boxes, I wasn't really satisfied with them because I thought they looked too plain and simple. So, I decided to draw faces of anime characters instead. I thought that showing anime characters would be more eye catching and would invite anime lovers, like myself, to like the product(s) or design of the box. Anyway, for the photos of the product(s), I kind of had a hard time because not all the keychains could stand. I was not happy about that but I liked how some turned out really awesome because I shot the picture from the top view.

4. Brand Message

My brand message is "Your Anime Dreamland".

5. Target Audience

Age: All ages (3 - mid or late 70s or maybe even older) Anime is made for everyone of any age.

Beliefs: Christianity, Shaman, ghosts, monsters, fantasy/mystical, demonic, alchemists, magic, witches, mages and many more.

Family Status: Single, married, widowed, widower, poor, middle class, rich

Career: Unemployed, employed, mayor, president, artist, mangaka and many more.

Hobbies: Draw, sports, taking pictures, travel and more.

Interests: Anything they want.
